Did you ever wonder how today's Indians live on the reservations? They live poorly, scattered over the vast lands. Occationally we see a casino or a trading post......even one with a website! www.yellowhorse.com Check the pic!! We ate lunch at the famous El Rancho Hotel in Gallop, famous for housing hundreds of movie stars as they worked on the over 20 movies made here...the last being Batman. While eating we had a SIGHTING! Elaine from Seinfeld!! (What is her real name?? Julia Something?) The waitress said she was with a group that will be filming in the area!
In Holbrook, we ran across Wigwam Village, a motel of concrete teepees that have a vintage car parked in front of each room.. er...teepee!......Knew you would love this Don and Fred.
Visited the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert before we stopped at Flagstaff. Our weather has been warm with a high today in the high 70s. Supposed to cool down some tomorrow.
