We made some good distance today over 400 miles.....traveled over the Sierra Nevada Mountains over Donner Pass (where that unfortunate happening occurred when the Donner party was stranded there years ago)....
We were married in Lake Tahoe and it was fun to see it again, even though it was MUCH smaller than I remembered...The area is too gorgeous for words..really! It looks like they enjoy a lot of snow related activities there too. We even found the little wedding chapel where we eloped! Awwwwwwwwww
In Reno we made a stop to Fed Ex an important document, and then we drove in the desert for hours and hours. Some things broke the monotony and I have pictured them. The haunted house is that guy's entire front yard and garage!! There you go, Gene Klimo! The aspen trees are brilliant yellow. We re glad to see some leaf colors because by the time we get home it will probably be over. Our weather has been perfect...I'm still wearing sandals! Larry is still in bermudas!
Seriously, I don't know how they talked even these few people to live out here in the desert. I can't get through it fast enough. Everything is the same color..everywhere! Forever on all sides...forever.. Even when there is that occasional bend in the road, you feel like desa vu.
We just had each other for entertainment today...Thank goodness I married an fascinating guy!
