Woo Hoo!

I have tried to create my first ever blog all week using AOL....but soooooo many people told me that they couldn't get connected. As fortune would have it, yesterday I was sent a fabulous blog written by a former student, Melissa. I checked out her site and HERE I AM!! Hope it's a go!!!

This diary will record my husband Larry's and my trip along Route 66, which will begin in ONE week!! I BETTER start packing! We have been pouring over travel guides trying to pace our trip. Starting in Chicago, we plan to follow the Mother Road through eight states to Santa Monica, California, the famous hometown of Larry Holland! Some of the road almost doesn't exist in places anymore. (Did anyone see the movie CARS?) We will stay on the Old Road as much as possible, meet the local people, and stop at the most colorful sites. We have friends to visit along the way and some golf courses to conquer. Fasten your seat belts and come along with us for the ride!!
