Monday Monday.....
This morning Larry awoke to noise in our lagoon. Evidently, this is alligator mating season! What sounded like bellowing to Larry, is sweet talk to some female alligator. I, of course heard nothing.....zzzzzzzzzzzz
We have two gators in our lagoon. We have named then Charlie Brown and Linus. We can see them just below the water, or most likely during the day up on the bank sunning themselves.
Remember you can just click the picture if you want to see a close up of Charlie Brown!
We went to The Sandcastle (Property Owners Clubhouse) this morning to attend a Photography Club meeting. The speaker was Alice Keeny who is a well known Associated Press photographer. She presented a slide show for an hour about famous street photographers around the world, focused on composition, and answered all kinds of questions. Larry and I loved it! She is taking members on a photoshoot around Charleston on Saturday. What fun!!
Took a walk on the beach....our beach access is like a tunnel of branches...so pretty. Noticed all the folks in swimming suits....It IS 80 degrees today. The little sandpipers, The Fast Walkers, were scurrying all about the beach looking for food in all the right places. The tide was out and all was right in the world.
We grilled out on our own deck tonight and toasted each other with special wine. One fine day!

Kiawah Paradise
We Power Packed our car for Kiawah.......everything fit!! Even our big screen TV! Thanks to Marty and Leigh Ann who gave us the courage to haul it! You can allllmost see Larry behind all those important packages!
We arrived Sunday afternoon and Power Unpacked! It was gorgeous here... almost 80 degrees. We cleaned ourselves up and attended a Governor's Club Barbeque at Mingo Point on the Kiawah River. First we stood around round areas as workers shucked tons of oysters as fast as they could. We met TONS of people...They were so helpful and friendly. We even met the couple who lives right behind us on our lagoon! We ate chicken, ribs, and pork that had been barbequed plus a plethra of salads and banana cream pie! Later, we watched the sunset on the river and Larry took some fabulous pictures! What a good time!

Golf Opening Day at Sycamore
Here is a pic of part of our Ladies Nine Hole Group on opening Day at Sycamore Creek Country Club! The day was beautiful.... eventually. We got a late start because of a frost delay....bummer. But I did a good job.............ended up coming in second in score...49 and third in shots to the green..19. I even got my name in the local paper!! My sweet friend Helen even cut it out and saved it for me!
My goal is to play a lot this year and improve!!! Larry is so funny. When we play, he always says, OHHHH that was a wonderful shot!! Now just think how far it would have gone if it would have gone straight!!" My coach and golf buddy!

RANDOM ACTS OF APRIL
Hello Spring? Are you right around the corner? I see daffidils and croci blooming.....but the air is soooo cool. Lots of happenings these last three weeks. I was able to attend the Ladies Nine Hole Luncheon for the first time....being the free person that I am now. It was fun...our Opening Day is next week.
Dottie and Helen had a VERY elegant wedding shower for Erin, who is getting married later this month. The luncheon was scrumptious and visually tasty as well! What a happy bride!
Out to dinner with Susie, Helen, and Jon........ Hey there's Dawn, our favorite bartender!
Happy Birthday to Jennie!! We had a requested cook out with ALL the family here....A throw down with Larry Holland!! My mom has had bronchitus and has been housebound for four weeks, so this was her Coming Out Party too, even though it looks like she has "gone to the dogs" in these pictures. The Dad steaks were fabulous as usual as well as Lebanese salad, twice baked potatoes, chocolate cake, and a festive birthday table!
