KIAWAH PARADISE

I know this will NOT come as a huge shock to you all......but we have bought a little three bedroom beach cottage in Kiawah Island, SC this week. Our family has vacationed in Kiawah for the last 14 years, so our girls are ecstatic! The pics show views of the front, and from the deck which overlooks a lagoon (yes there are probably alligators there) and the 15th and 16th holes of the Cougar Golf Course. The first golf course picture shows the hole our house backs up to. We are one street back from the ocean. Kiawah is a gated barrier island 20 miles south of Charleston. It has 7 golf courses and a private 10 mile beach. Larry and I traveled to Kiawah for the closing and a week of golfing, beaching, and shopping. We celebrated at the Sanctuary for dinner the first night. We joined the golf club,and I played with the Ladies 9 Holers and Larry played with the Men's 18 Hole Group. We certainly left Ohio at the right time! The weather here has been in he 60's and 70's. We discovered a new restaurant on John's Island called the Fat Hen........fabulous French bistro! Yes, those are MORE food pictures!!! That is crab and shrimp over Hoppin John for Larry, and a TOO HUGE pork shank for me with happy figs (marinated). We are excited about traveling back and forth to paradise! Soooo......Enjoy the pictures! And.......think about when YOU can come south for a visit!

Unbelieeeeeevably, our favorite college basketball team has now won 10 games in a row!!! We were at the Nutter Center as usual last night to experience this latest win over Illinios Chicago in the last 6 seconds of the game! TOTAL Pandamonium!! You can't help but think of last year when we had a winning streak, beat Butler 3 times, won the Horizon League Tournament, and went on to play in the NCAA Tournament in Buffalo, NY!! What fun THAT was! We hope to finish our season this year in a strong way. We are currently in second place behind Butler. You can watch three of our games on ESPN! GO WRIGHT STATE RAIDERS!!!!!
