Freshfields, Shopping Mecca

Freshfields is our little shopping area just of the island. They have about 60 stores there including Newton Farms which is an upscale grocery kinda like Dorothy Lane Market. Town Square is where they have concerts, art shows, and even movies in the summer. The drinking frogs sculpture is one of my favorites, as are all the little specialty shops. The King Street Grille just opened. It is owned b y Ben Rothenburger, the foorball player who lives here. There is no commercial business of any kind on Kiawah, so Freshfields is convenient. There was a lot of opposition to building it, however.
