Horizon League Tournament

Larry and I were excited to travel to Indianapolis to watch our RAIDERS play Valpo at Butler's Hinkle Fieldhouse..........The movie Hoosiers was filmed on this basketball court!! Wright State had won the Detroit game and was dreaming of another NCAA dance..... We met the nicest people, Beverly and Mike, Butler season ticket holders, who gave us a history of the arena and its famous players. Our seats were fantastic...right and I mean RIGHT behind the team! The game was EXCITING, the score being tied 10 times! But our free throws were not our strong point and we lost in the last seconds. After our players left the court and got dressed, some of them came out to the stands to watch the second game. Jordan Pleiman, our senior center, came over to give Larry and I hugs. He was so sad...........not fair because he had a fabulous personal game. Now we will just hope with 21 wins to get an invitation to the NIT tournament. Cross your fingers!

Always sad when the basketball season ends at Nutter Center. We miss the people we have cheered next to for 20 years. Chuck, "The Kumquat", and the beer boys in particular.
See you next year!

While we were in Indianapolis..........Ohio had a blizzard......14 inches in Dayton. We waited a while, but drove on home single file... 40 miles an hour... behind a line of trucks. We saw cars and trucks off the road.........one guy slid off the ramp at I 70 and I 75 right next to us! So glad we bought that 4 wheel drive. We got home safely and our summer grass company guy had plowed the driveway!! Whew! Bogey spent the weekend with Aunt Jennie where he reportedly loved being outside in the snow making Bogey nests....and being inside with his girlfriends Lucy and Sarah and his Bubba Boy.
