Whew! What a week!

We came home to a busy busy week full of friends and fun events! Our street is SOOOO beautiful with the colored leaves. We were so afraid we would miss them.

Wright State played its first exhibition game Monday against Indy and won. It was too much fun to see all our Nutter Center friends again after 8 months! The new players look strong and ready for a fabulous season! I love basketball! GO RAIDERS!

Tuesday morning I had breakfast with the retired Beavertown teachers. It is so good to sit and chat like we used to do in the lounge at Beavertown. Our old principal, Bob Suter even joined us! We solved ALL the world's problems.

Thursday, I was invited to attend the Town Hall Lecture that the Junior League sponsors. The speaker was Rick Steves, the travel writer and TV travel show guy. I got to share time with some other Beavertown retired teachers, plus we all enjoyed lunch at Cocos afterward. YUM! YUM! Thanks for giving me your ticket Sue! Thanks for the ride Linda!

Friday, we gathered for dinner at the new Italian restaurant, Savona, with good friends who are all home now too! Dottie and Don, Helen and Jon, and Suzie and Kevin who gave us a welcome home Route 66 pillow! We need it! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Larry remembered to take a picture of us!

Saturday, we drove to Columbus to attend the best Tailgate party I have ever been to! Leigh Ann and Marty set it up a block from the OSU stadium. They had a tent, tables and tables of food, a light up blow up Brutus, a fire pit, and a BIG SCREEN TV!! Incredible! Larry walked over to the stadium because Kevin shared a ticket with him and they watched the game there. The rest of us watched it around the cozy fire pit on TV. If ONLY OSU had won...Oh well, next week! GO BUCKEYES!

Today, we just hunkered in, listened to the rain outside as we searched the internet for a new vehicle and watched the football games......
